i have a win 2003 server with veritas 10 and want to backup a win 2003 exchange 2003 sp1 server via the remote agent. I want a full backup with the VSS shadow copy components but without directly backing up the mailboxes. I am backing up the filesystem, The Information store and the VSS shadow components.
The backup fails with the following error:
Sichern- \\Server\Shadow?Copy?Components \\Server\Shadow?Copy?ComponentsV-79-57344-65225 - Beim Zugriff auf die Writer-Metadaten trat ein Fehler auf. (Error occured quering the witer-metadata )
In the log i find the following error:
Endgültiger Fehler: 0xe000fec9 - Beim Zugriff auf die Writer-Metadaten trat ein Fehler auf.
Endgültige Fehlerkategorie: Ressourcenfehler
(Error occured quering the witer-metadata )
I think the problem is that the vss service stops during the backup. I configured the vss service to restart itself 3 times but during the backup it stops more than 3 times and so the backup crashes. Can anyone give me any hint?
