Hi Guys,
I have was troubleshooting a System State backup error and it has evolved into this
Backup- SPARKY - AOFO: Initialization failure on: "System?State". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
V-79-10000-11215 - VSS Snapshot error. Snap shot provider not registered.
Has anyone got ideas on how to fix it? I have tried the solution described in this article, but unfortunately did not work :(

Hi Guys,
Just to update this thread. I tried using windows backup to perform a backup and it failed. After multiple restarts of the server and reregistering the VSS Providers something must have fixed it.
So not entirely sure but glad it has now been successful for the past couple of weeks :)

Hi,
Is this all of a sudden, or has this happened regularily?
What does: vssadmin list writers - show?
Is AOFO turned on, and if not, turn it on and try again.
Thanks!
