We set schedule to backup our application server every night. But we may occur VSS Snapshot error sometimes.
The media server is using Windows 2003 R2 SP2 and 10.1 Rev. 5629 SP4.
The application server is using Windows 2003 R2 SP2 and RAWS (the same version as media server).
This is the error message:

And the job completion status:

There is no special event log on the media server when the job failed.
The below event log is the only error message on the application server the the job failed:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: An internal inconsistency was detected in trying to contact shadow copy service writers. Please
check to see that the Event Service and Volume Shadow Copy Service are operating properly.
After the error, we re-run the backup job again and it success. The same problem occurred twice on 29/7 and 27/8 respectively.
Could someone help us to find out the problem?
