Veritas 8.6 build 3878 and dell PV114T, DLT VS160

Does anyone know for sure if Veritas 8.6 build 3878 is supports the PV114T, DLT VS160. I am having nothing but problems with this drive. I have tried to use both the Microsoft driver and the Veritas driver. I downloaded the latest driver pack from veritas. Funny thing though I do not see anything stateding on the veritas website that this drive is supported yet veritas seems to find some kind of driver for it. The driver details however show no signiture and no driver date, and appears not to install correctly. I have only managed to get 1 backup to work. Mostly though I just get the error in veritas:

I am attaching this VS160 drive to a brand new adaptec scsi 39160 card with the latest drivers installed.

Have you tried Dell drivers?

says it's for 110T and 112T, but should apply to the 114T as well


http://support.veritas.com/dsl/lists/device_ddProduct_BEWNT_media_loader_prod1_NT86.htm doesn't specifically list the 114T, but it may be too old a document

What OS are you using on your server and what server are you using? When you mention Dell drivers, are these the Dell drivers for the SCSI card as well? There are a few issues with the drivers and Windows 2003 server.
