Email Notifications continue to send regardless of settings

Hi,
One of our servers here takes up to 7 and a half hours to backup and upon completion goes about sending a 12 MB job log file to a number of recipients.

This is obviously causing latency with receiving our mail.

Firstly, I cant understand why the job log, which is only a html file, could grow to such a size. I mean, 12 MB???

Secondly, I have gone about turning the notifications off, but BE continues to send them regardless.

Have I missed something here?

- Job log size, you can change this in Tools, Optios, Job Log, change it to Summary Only - unless you want to list every directory and/or file, this is sufficient. It will still list the errors, exceptions etc.
I have actually seen job logs up to 700mb in size with logging turned all the way up.

- If you want to turn off notifications totally, go to Tools, Email and Pager Notifications - Uncheck whichever notification you have setup.
- You can also do it from the backup job itself - throught settings notification - also in Tools, Alert categories.
