Veritas System Recovery delivers superior backup and disaster recovery for servers, desktops, and laptops with a single unified solution that enables businesses to recover from downtime or disasters in minutes. With patented Restore Anyware technology, IT administrators can rapidly restore exactly what they need, when and where they need it — including entire physical and virtual machines to bare metal or dissimilar hardware as well as files, folders, and granular application objects. Unlike other technologies, Veritas System Recovery also provides cross-platform Physical to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual to-Virtual (V2V), and Virtual to-Physical (V2P) recoveries, making it the perfect complement to physical and virtual environments.

Veritas System Recovery 21.3 provides key capabilities, usability, and security enhancements with this release.

The release enhances the capabilities of Veritas System Recovery Monitor, which is an extremely simple, standalone, lightweight, and easy to use monitoring application. The Monitor helps to determine the backup protection status of thousands of remote computers that are backed up using Veritas System Recovery.

With this release, the security is enhanced with the Visual Studio upgrade to 2019.

The release has usability enhancement in terms of providing Toggle Password Visibility support for masking and unmasking of password in the UI screens.

The release also expands the support for operating systems namely:

  • Microsoft Windows 10, version 2009 (20H2) and Windows Server, version 2009 (20H2)
  • Microsoft Exchange 2019 CU 5 and Microsoft Exchange 2013 CU 23
  • Linux Operating Systems (RHEL 7.8, RHEL 8.2, CentOS 8.0, CentOS 8.1, SLES 12 SP4)

With this release, Veritas System Recovery Management Solution is End Of Life. Veritas System Recovery Management Solution version 16, 18 & 21 (including Service Packs) will no longer be supported and be replaced with New Veritas System Recovery Monitor in the coming release.

So go ahead and try out the latest version that facilitates an easier evaluation with an embedded trialware license.
