Very Slow Job Rate

I am currently evaluating Backup Exec 12 using a HP D2D100 iSCSI device , which presents itself to BE 12 as autoloader using LTO2 drivers.

The problem I am having is that the Job Rate is very very slow 5MB/min, this is ridiculous as the backup takes for ever to complete.

I am also using a SCSI HP LTO Ultrium tape devices and getting a Job rate of about 400.00MB/min.

The D2D100 device is connected to the networking on a 1GB port using full duplex.

Any recommendations on how to resolve the slow job rate

What kind of throughput do you get when you backup locally on the media server?

Try hardsetting each end of each network pipe rather than letting the cards default to AutoNegotiate
