Please remove media from tape device/mount failed

I created a full backup job to run 5 days a week and as I reinsert the tapes to be overwritten and they are configured to be overwritten I get a please remove media from tape device error.  It doesn't seem to want to overwrite the tapes?

You need to check how the job is configured. Whether to overwrite or append.

If the tape you insert in drive is overwrite protected or not appendable then it will be popped out immediately.

and the job will go to loading media state. Alert will be generated

"Please insert overwriteable media into the changer using the slot import command" is generated. 

 

If you want to make overwritable then move it to scratch media set.

OR

Change the settings of Media set so that after perticular time period , it will become recyclable.
