Viewing media ?

I am a novice at Backup Exec and am trying to figure out how to view what is on some older tapes. How can i see when the information on the tape was written and where it was backed up from?

Hi

Can go to restore tab in backupexec there are  option in that view by source & view by meida

You can either select view by source or view by meida & look for date you are looking for in that & you can find  what information you are looking for

Catalogs are responsible to display information from the media (tape or disk). If catalogs are

not available for the old tape BE will not display any information. So if the information is not

displayed in the restore window you will have to catalog the tapes.
