Software is running on a 2003 Small Business Server and has been working for several years. Recently the client upgraded a server-based application (Dynascape) that is SQL based. Now when starting the backup exec, the above error is displayed. Dynascape, though, is running ok.
The error references BkupExec.exe. The version is 10D - 10.1.5629
I have not done anything yet, as I don't won't to disturb anything else. My questions are:
- Should I try reinstalling the backup exec or will I likely receive the same error?
- I saw a reference to this problem which recommeded installing a case-sensitive SQL instance, but I am clear on how to do this.
- I also saw a reference to repairing or reinstalling the .net installation. If I do this, what .net needs to be fixed? I see both 1.1 and 2.0 installed on the system. Do I just download it from MS and reinstall?
