Vsphere Enterprise and Standard- Both supported at the same time?

If I have two versions of vmware running Vsphere Standard 4.1 with esx 4.1 servers and Vsphere Enterprise 5 with esxi 5.1 servers; will backup exec 2010 r3 be able to support both at the same time?

I have found some documentation saying that it does support Esx 5.0 and 5.0 update 1, (I am assuming that’s 5.1) However does not mention anything about what software versions/licensed versions they are.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

It doesn't care what the version is. If it is listed on the SCL then, regardless of the version of VMware (Enterprise, Standard etc), it is supported.

Thanks!

I believe that vSphere Std and Ent. are just licencing options and both these options have the vStorage API which BE needs.  As previously advised, if the version is supported, then it is o.k.

Can someone verify if ESXi 5.1 is supported in 2010r3?
