Is this in the Exchange Agent step, or in the flat file portion of the backup?

You need to double check the rights that the mailbox associated with the BackupExec service account has in Exchange

I am getting the same warning on our backups.

I have made sure that persmissions have been set correctly as it uses the Domain Admin credentials.

Any help would be appreciated.

Domain Admin and Exchange Admin can be two entirely deifferent things. You need to check the Exchange rights of whatever account you acutually run the backup as or that you connect as

What we've got at the moment is the Exchange and Backup Exec are both on the same server.

Job definitions have been setup up already for the backups.

So how would I go about making sure that backup exec is using the correct credentials to backup? I log onto the server as domain admin.

But not sure if it uses domain admin to backup the exchange.

Your help is much appreciated.

Does your BackupExec service account have a mailbox associated with it?

or on the backup selections pane do you right click on mailboxes and give it user-id and password

There is a mail box which is associated with backup exec and it is called 'serviceaccount'

Any suggestions?

Thanks
