Automation

Hi All

Have BE2012 SP3

D:\TEMP\Backup Exec contains three folders

\MP01

\MP02

\MP03

Each of these folders contain what looks like a shortcut.

MP02.jpg

If I try and open any of these files in MP01 02 or 03 then I get an error message.MP01.gif

My SDR job which runs on the backup Server is failing because it cant find these files either.

Any Idea what they are ? Can I delete them on the basis that they dont exist ?

Many thanks for your time

The C:\temp directory is used by BE for temporary work. You can safely delete anything under this directory. What exactly do you mean by SDR job? Are you doing a backup or a restore?

Hi

It is a backup job with SDR enabled only the files listed can not be found so the backup fails with an error code.

D:\TEMP\Backup Exec is the folder where the files were.

I have been handed this system which was setup by someone and only have a very vague document.

Is it possible that he set up the D drive for this temporary work?

Many thanks for your time!

Delete the entire D:\temp directory and try again

Hi

Back at work, Have deleted the files and re ran the backup last night but that failed as it still could not find the files in the trash can!

Have just started the job again and will let you know shortly.

BE2012 has not created any new files at that location though :)
