What licensing/feature/product do I need to backup my SAN?

Good morning.

We have a FC SAN.

Our Backup Server is attached to the same FC network.

We have been backing up our VMs using the agent within the OS, but don't want to do that.

We just want to send a couple of our backup volumes to tape, which will be used to supplement our eventual implementation of offsite replication of our backups.

If it helps any, the volumes are formatted VMFS.

You can use the Backup Exec Vmware Agent for this. This product is licensed per ESX server, if you have 4 ESX servers, you will need 4 BE Vmware Agent licenses.
