Which RADIUS instructions to follow?

I am using Veritas 10D to backup a RedHat ES 4 server.

I found two directions,

one using the CD

the other using the installation file
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/279329.htm

Are these both correct, does the installation file automate most of the steps as the CD requires a lot more manual setup.
