Why do I keep getting "insert overwritable media" message?

This is the first time I have ever had to reuse a tape. I though I did everything right as far as erasing and creating a new media set. The problem is I try to back something up using BackupExec and I get that error. I have the overwrite protection set at 1 hour. Any suggestions on how to make it accept my tape?

If you inventory the tape, does the Volume Info show in Blue or Black (reusable/protected)?

If it shows in black, drag the volume to the scratch media set.Message was edited by:

Greetings!!

Move the media on which you intend to perform an overwrite operation into Scratch Media and then configure the backup job.

NOTE: Do not move the fresh tape or scratch tape into media set before running a backup job. Specify the Media set name when configuring the backup job properties. This will write the "Overwrite Protection Period"and "Append Period"to the tape header after the backup job
finishes.

Thanks
