Will Backup Exec 12 Work With Remote Agent for Windows Version 10.d?

Our organization is about to do an install of BE 12 on a fresh Windows 2003 Server machine with no previous BE versions on it.  We have a few licenses of BE Remote Agent for Windows Servers v10.d.

So I guess my question is, Will Backup Exec 12 work with previous versions of Backup Exec Remote Agent (ie. version 10.d)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If anyone has ever tried BE 12 with ANY previous version of the remote agent, please share your experience.

A v12 media server can talk to both v10d and v11d Remote Agents, but this is supported "only for the purpose of rolling upgrades"  (See the v12  SCL)
 
In other words, to meet the licensing policy in a production environment, all RemoteAgents must be the same version as the media server
