Will a Linux version of BE ever happen?

Does anyone know if a Linux version of Backup Exec is in the plans or will we only see Windows versions from here on out?  My concern is with OES 2 which will be on the SLES 10 platform.  If the answer is to put a Windows server in just to get backups, then I will need to look at other alternatives.

Yes, Backup Exec for Linux is due out early 2008.

Well, it is May of 2008 and nothing new yet.  I am losing hope and have started to look elsewhere unless you can give me a hint otherwise.
