Wiping data of a tape!

I have a problem with backup exec 10d, backups failing due to the media being full! How can i wipe or formatt the tapes using backup exec software?

Do a Full erase

But that isn't required.  Just move the tape volume to the Scratch Media set, or ReLabel the tape

Or better yet, change the OPP (Overwrite Protection Period so that the tape has expired when it is due to be reused
