You cannot perform GRT-enabled restores of application data from this backup

We get this error message when running backups of hyper-v virtuals using backup exec 2012 (14.0.1798.1300).  the credentials are fine and when we look at the restore i can see individual files.  Why am i getting these errror?

Backup- VRTSRV::\\server1\Hyper-V?Virtual?Machine\server10V-79-57344-38726 - Backup Exec failed to connect to virtual machine 'server10' and was unable to collect the necessary metadata to restore individual application items. You cannot perform GRT-enabled restores of application data from this backup. You must install the Agent for Windows and the virtual machine tools provided by your host software on the virtual machine.

Is there an application such as (Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, Sharepoint) installed on the Hyper-V VMs ? If not and if Application GRT option is enabled in the backup job, this message can occur.

Would recommend to open the job log and check which VMs are reporting this message and check if any of the above mentioned app is present or not. If not, you can either ignore this message or split the backups jobs (With one having Application GRT enabled and the other disabled)
