backup exec 2010 selection list for exchange server 2003

Hi Everyone,

What are you excluding from your selection list on an exchange server 2003 full system backup using backup exec 2010?

I am aware that certain folders need to be excluded for various reasons but just wanted to know what others have setup?

You need two selection lists.  

1.  Select ONLY the Exchange IS, and use the Exchange options, AOFO should be off.
2.  Select everything, but the Exchange IS.  Use AOFO here.

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I have a selection list at the moment which is my daily backup to tape & included with other server with AOFO switched on is my information store & two stroage groups as well as the shadow copy components.  This seems to work quiet well.

Can I just adjust this list to include the drives of the server but exclude both ;

Transaction log location for each storage group
Exchange Database location for each mailbox

Are there any other files that I should exclude?
