downloaded the latest agent. Turned out it was the same as I already had. :)
Problem: On win98 2ed, upon shutdown, I get an error caused by the agent. I have to click "ok" several times before it will finally go away.

how to stop this?

Thanks.

Kindly let us know if you have followed the same steps in order to install Agent for Windows 98.

Also, please describe and elaborate the error that you come across. This would help us troubleshoot the problem further.

Just about. :)

I used the downloaded version to be sure I had the latest.

Then, I selected ipx/spx for protocol since I have no idea what the name of my "media backup server" is. Since I use DHCP for IP assignment, I can't give the backup assistant the IP address of the win2k computer upon which backup exec is running since it does change.

Thanks.

And, no, it does not show up in the windows media server list. However, two others do that are using ipx/spx. :)
