My backup keeps failing with this message, but the link does not apply to the situation.

Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000810d - Physical Volume Library Media not found.
Final error category: Backup Media Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-33037

I'm just simply trying to run a backup job .

Windows 2003 server, BE 10.0 SP1, Build 5520

Why do I keep receiving this message?

Hello,

Where are you directing this job? Is it directed towards a tape? What link had you referred to?

Refer to the following technote that might help resolve the problem:

"Physical Volume Library Media not found" (a000810d HEX or e000810d HEX) is reported when attempting a catalog or a restore operation
http://support.veritas.com/docs/190820

Try the job on a backup-to-disk and check if the same error persists.

Revert if the issue persists.

Note : If we do not receive your reply within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.

Hi......

I am having the same problem with one little difference....
The problem exists only when I have scheduled a job....
If I run the same job manually (Run Now) then it works perfectly...

The job (both scheduled and manually) is directed against an external LTO-drive.

So,
if you have received a solution for this problem, I would appreciate if you can share it with me :)
