Hello,

You haven't mentioned what version of DLO you are using.

Was this error reported when you had the Dedupe set in the Maintenance Window, as the error implies it was ? If so, please do not activate a Maintenance Window at the same time, as that may prevent Garbage Collection from running.

How long are you setting as a 'run time' when attempting to run Garbage Collection manually, as it is not recommended to run for less than 60 min ?; it may end sooner anyway, if there is nothing to be done or it has completed that sequence.

Do you have Garbage Collection configured to run Scheduled (Tools - Options - Maintenance Schedules - Garbage Collection) and if so, does that run any better ?

Are all the services (Administration, Maintenance, Mindtree) running okay and there are no Event Log messages to indicate services are stopping, but maybe restarted by teh Recovery option of the service ?

DLO version is 9.5

I tried with multiple ways like manually activating maintenance mode and without, greater than 60 minutes.

the scheduled garbage collection job is failing with the same error as well.

Are you able to access the Dedupe server via browser access, using similar commands to below (may need to check your Dedupe server settings, to ensure what ports are being used in your setup);

https://DedupeServerHostName:8443

http://DedupeServerHostName:8080

In the DLO Admin Console, if you Manage the Dedupe Server and then check the Dedupe Storage Location tab, do all Storage show with valid Capacity and Free Space values or do you have any showing as Not Available ?

How long has this GC issue been occurring and was there anything changed around the time it last worked ?

- I can access dedupe server via

https://DedupeServerHostName:8443 but not  http://DedupeServerHostName:8080. while i can access the dedupe via both ports from the dedupe server itself,

- all storage locations are fine

- it been happening since a month, i cannot remember a change has occurred.

PS i can telnet to the Dedupe server on both ports

Hello,

Thank you for testing these. It sounds as though this is something that needs to be looked more closely than via forum thread and if you have Support Maintenance, I would recommend a Support case is opened so that we can work with you to resolve this.

If you do not have active Support Maintenance let me know and we will see what else can be done to help.

Regards,

Paul
