Hello,

- Please upgrade to the latest drivers and reboot the machine after the drivers are installed.

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only)
http://support.veritas.com/docs/273853

- You may try backup using Windows NT native backup utility. Stop all the Backup Exec services from services applet and run NTbackup and check the difference in performance.

- Disable the antivirus during backup

- Is this for local backups or local as well as remote?

- Are you backing up multiple resources? If yes then slpit the job and verify which resouce is the performance falling short on?
