Server:

Windows 2000 SP3
BackupExec 9.1

beserver is taking 100% of the CPU of the server.
Even after a reboot of the server the beserver takes 100% CPU.
It is impossible to start BackupExec on that server.
We don't user SMTP for notification messages.

Hello,

Since when does the problem occur? Go to the 'Task manager- processes' and check how much CPU is been used by beremote or bengine.

Install the latest SP for Windows 2000: SP4. Also install the latest SP for 9.1: SP3 from the following link:

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 - Service Pack 3 http://support.veritas.com/docs/278302

If the problem persists, revert with details.

Note : If we do not receive your reply within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.
