clean device notification

I have HP Tape Autoloader 1/8 Ultrium 230 , Tabletop
with Backup Exec 9.1

When need clean device the tape Autoloader indicate on about this in this front panel. But he stay in server room.

Can Backup Exec display warning that need clean tape Autoloader ?

The tape device should also log an Event Log entry. You could script up something to check the Event logs every morning.

Hello,

Backup Exec cannot display warning regarding cleaning of Autoloader when its needed.
Since the device is attached to the system, events regarding tape drives can be seen in the event logs as said by the Forum participant.
However, you may decide to clean the autoloader after every 15 days so as to avoid the problems.

but my think that your software can be more intergrated
with hardware of world brend such as HP.
