corrupt file error on media server

Should it be necessary to have Advanced Open File on the media server I'm running Veritas on? I'm trying to run a full backup of the media server and it's failing with corrupt data encountered. Specifically this is the error received:
WARNING: "C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data\BEX_BOB1_06481.xml" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.

Several other files are skipped because there are in use, but this one doesn't get skipped...
Please advise.
Thanks,
Cindy

I have had this issue. I have been informed that the file may not be corrupt. That buexec just cannot verify the file. There is a regedit change that can be made that will allow the backup to return a good end of job in place of the failure. I will try to find it in my notes.

Thanks for responding. If you can find that information, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your assistance!

I wonder about the same thing. Veritas is installed on our file server. When backing up files on the media server, do you need AOFA?

I keep getting errors that files are corrupted (they're not really corrupted).
