eject tapes from HP SSL1016

We are running BE 10.0 on a windows 2003 server with an HP StorageWorks SSL1016 tape drive. I can not figure out how to eject a particular tape from the veritas software. I have to use the front panel or web based management of the tape drive.

Hello,

From the Backup Exec console go to backup job properties-device and media tab where you have the option eject media after backup job completes.

From the devices tab, right click the tape drive\Eject

Under devices I have
Robotic Libraries
-HP 1
--Hp 2
-- Slots

I do not have the ejct option under any of these items.
I can see my tapes in the right window when I click on slots, but I do not have an eject option when I right click on them.

Sorry, thought you were talking about ejecting from the tape drive

You should have an "Export" option if you right click a slot (or somthing similar)

Since a user-enabled, dedicated import/export slot is also part of the configuration please try import and export of Backup exec with the help of the technotes below:
