Hello,
Check the following:
1. Go to drive properties > Configuration tab and set it to "Default Settings"
2. Ensure that you attached the drive to a SCSI controller nad not to a RAID controller.
3. Check for event ids 7, 9, 11 or 15
4. Install latest drivers.

5. Update the firmware of the drive and the controller.
6. Try cleaning the device used Use the manufacturer manual for cleaning instructions.
7. Disable removable storage (RSM) service.
