i/o errors trying to read tapes

Trevor_LaFrenie
Not applicable
I have a new Windows server 2003 with a Dat72 drive installed. The drive is detected properly in Windows and Backup Exec. If I select the devices tab and choose the tape drive, it shows the tape as being in an unrecognized format. If I try to erase the tape, I receive an I/O error.

One thing that I noticed was that under the properties for the drive, media types, there is no option for DDS5 media. Is this normal?
