Exabyte VXA-2 Packetloader 1U

I am trying use Backup Exec 10 with the above hardware., but I continue to receive Robotic Hardware errors which cause the drive to be set offline.

The software recognizes the drive and autoloader in the device menu.

It is a windows 2003 server. In Device manager, the Veritas driver shows for the tape drive, but the Medium changer has a Microsoft driver.

I have updated the drivers using the recent Veritas download.

Any ideas what I might check next?

i got the same conf as you and i have no problem to use it with no error, maybe a scsi card problem ?

Hi Ed,

Try changing the emulation mode of the Exabyte Library to Exabyte 210 (EXB-210).

Also check for any Event ID´s 7,9,11,15 in the system event log on SCSI controller, tape device or drivers.
