i am installing exchange management tools for using with various exchange 2007 and 2010 servers we are backing up (various servers in different domains of different customers, NOT in our internal datacenter domain, where the se server resides btw).
the be server is member of our internal domain, which DOES NOT have any exchange server (and DON't need it), but when i try to install EVEN ONLY the exchange management tools the setup keep asking me to "update the domain schema".
i don't want to do it, basically because what i expect from exchange management tools is only the added capability for be server to backup others exchange servers...is there a solution or am i forced to extend anyway my internal domain schema even just for a "couple" of tools?!
thank you.

Hi,
this would be a Microsoft requirement so yes, you'd have to update your schema in order to install the management tools.
Thanks!
