missing

Hello,

We put Backup Exex 2012 on a 2008R2.

Today I wanted to restore some files

It is noticeable to me that the list of backups is not complete.

I only see the last six backups "correctly", from then on there are gaps between the backups which are getting bigger.

In the order process, however, they are displayed correctly.

It might be that the catalogs have been pruned from the BEDB. Run a Catalog job and try the restore again.

It could be that the "missing" backup sets were overwritten or deleted.

You should be planning to upgrade from BE 2012 very soon.  It is very close to EOL.

If these are Backup to disk sets, then BE 2012 introduced DLM which can delete backup sets once the retention date has been passed without needing job activity - this is a massive change in understanding compared with how media sets handled disk sets before this and you shpud spend spme time to understand DLM

I'd also recommend getting off BE 2012 as it goes end of support in a few months and DLM has also received enhancements and fixes in the 3 versison of BE that followed BE 2012 meaning you defintely don't have the latest DLM management within the product available to you.
