only have one server, remote agent is causing my backup to fail

I only have one server in a customer's network. It is a new Proliant ML350 with 2003 Standard and Exchange 2003 on it. It is also running business works, DHCP, DNS and backup exec. It has symantec 10 loaded on as well as Symantec's Exchange client 4.6. When I do a backup I get the following error -
The job failed with
the following error:
"The network connection to the Backup Exec Remote Ag
ent has been lost. Please check for network errors." I do not have any remote servers. How do I fix this?

I have downloaded all the latest patches from Veritas. I have not done SP1 for 2003 however. I wanted to get a good backup first!

That is what it is currently set to.

I am going to try selecting the adapter instead of that setting. Is there a way in the install to not setup the remote portion of Veritas Backup Exec? My customer will never in the next 5 years have 2 servers.

Please elaborate:
"Is there a way in the install to not setup the remote portion of Veritas Backup Exec?"
