For BE 2012, you do not create a selection list by itself.  The selection list is created as part of a job creation.

For BE 2012, you cannot have more than one disk storage or disk cartridge device per volume.  This is by design.

In BE 2012 you dont have a selection list option as it does not work anymore on selectionlist/policies. Selection is now integrated in the job, so to create a new backup selection list, you need to create a new job.

About creating 2 or more media, I am not sure what you want to ask here.

in the previous version we used selection list  to take backup of around 20 server as 1 job is there any way to do the same in 2012

creating 2 or more media means in 2010 we used different folders (media) for diffrent jobs in a particular drive but 2012 allowing only 1 ( entaire drive) , can we create more folders (media) in the same drive ?

Backup Exec 2012 is server centric, so you can only have a single server selected in 1 backup job. In your case you would have 20 jobs created.

Also BE 2012 only allows 1 B2D folder per volume/drive letter.

Here is a technote that can help you to target multpile jobs to a single Tape/cartridge
