slow exchange public folders backup

HI everybody, here is my problem. I backup an exchange server (mailboxes, information store...) and it works well. But when I add the public folders to the selection, the backup take about 4X the time it take normally. It really slow down when it backup the Exchange public folders. Does anybody have an idea about this?

Hello,

Please ensure that you are backing up the actual data in the public folder or just the instance of the public folders on the local system.

Also if you are running Antivirus Software during the Backup Job, then change the mode of the antivirus from the vapi/mapi mode to the mapi mode. Please follow the document to perform that.
