virtual (vhd) extremely slow

    Hi everyone,

I have converted a couple of my servers to virtual drives without any issues.  When booting in Microsoft Virtual Server with these computers I find them to be painfully slow.  I've installed other servers fresh into the virtual environment without any issues but these are killing me.  Any ideas on how I can improve the performance?

Do you get the same slow speed / poor performance if you created a blank guest OS container first, then using an ISO of the recovery CD, boot this guest OS container into the recovery environment  and perform a restore of the same recovery point image using the Restore Anyware option? Do all of your recovery point images convert into guest OS with the same slow performance? Do these same recovery point images restore to physical systems and boot/run fine or again have the same slow performance?  Do the slow performance converted systems boot and run normally in selective startup mode using the MSCONFIG utility or in safe-boot mode?
