Allow users to delete from vault

Right now we have EV set up so that when a user deletes a shortcut in their mailbox, the item in the vault remains.  i.e. users cannot delete items from the vault.  We'd like to change this behavior for a single mailbox so that when they delete a shortcut in Outlook, the item is also removed from the vault.  How can I do this?

EV 7 was released and introduced Role-Based Administration, Granular Provisions, and a host of other new features.

EV 2007 was going to be called EV 7.5 but there was a change to the naming convention and now it is EV 2007.  It was released the first of July and had introduced Lotus mailbox archiving and other new features.

Users can Delete is a site property or do you mean the Delete means Delete functionality?

I'd like to set it up for a single mailbox so that when a shortcut is deleted from that mailbox the item in the vault is also deleted.  Can I do that for a single mailbox with Policy Manager, etc. or is that setting for all mailboxes?

If you were on EV 7 or EV 2007 I would say yes you can create a policy for one user for Delete means delete

Granular Provisioning was introduced in EV 7, that makes it easy to apply different policies to different users.

For EV 6 I can't think of any way you can do this. Sorry mate.

Tony, can you pass the word along that it'd be really super sweet if you can move the "Users can delete items in their archive" feature from the site level to policy level? :) Or maybe a policy setting something like...

Override "User can delete items in their archive setting?"
...No, use site setting.
...Yes, allow deletes.
...Yes, do not allow deletes.
