Archiving speed

Hi,

Is it normal for 400,000 emails (~3 Gb) to take 44 hrs to finish archiving, from archive window start, to finish getting stored to archives ? Is it consider too slow ?

Based on my calculation, it takes abt 1 sec to store abt 2-3 emails on the system i tested.

Is there a performance guide article from Symantec ?

EV server spec
2 GB CPU
1GB RAM

Gigabit connection to Exchange server

Fibre channel 2Gb connection to Storage devices
- Indexes
- Vault Store
- SQL db
- msmq
- shopping

Local disk
- SQL transaction log

Add more RAM!!!!

I would recommend 4 GB of RAM, but you could get away with 2 GB.

! GB is no where near enough to run EV.

You will find that the Archiving process and the Conversion process takes up a lot of Physical memory.  Adding more RAM will improve things.
