Archiving won't work with scheduled task

TechMia

We've created a policy for users leaving the company. When they quit we archive their mailboxes and keep them for 6 months. The provisioning group they're a member of will be deleted from their account and then they become members in a new provisioning group "Quit all".

When archiving a user manually it works great, but when the scheduled task runs nothing from the "Quit all"-group archives at all. We have ranked this group as number 1.

We're using EV 9.0.1. Using Outlook 2003 w/ Exchange server 2007.

Please, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it very much!

Regards,

Mia

First question would be do you have the box checked that says archive mailboxes in this provisioning group?

It would be on the property page of the provisioning group.

ok so

1. are the mailboxes being hidden in the GAL at all?
2. Is the provisioning group set to enable these people?
3. Do you have any mailboxes left over in the Exchange servers A5 queue?
4. If you go to the Vault admin console and expand out Targets -> Exchange and right click Exchange, you then click "Display Policies assigned to mailbox", if you enter their names are they given the correct provisioning group?

and when you say archiving a user manually, do you mean via a run now or going to their mailbox and archiving items manually in their mailbox?

Also when does provisioning run, sync run and then archiving task run?

For instance, it would optimally look like

1. Users go through their "Left The Business" process at 6pm
2. Provisioning then runs at 7pm putting them in to the new Provisioning Group
3. Synchronization then runs at 8pm, updating the hidden messages to take the new policy
4. Archiving Schedule then runs at 10pm  -  3am or something like that to archive the messages

Hi,

Here are the answers for above questions:

1.Yes they are hidden in GAL

2.Yes, most of them. I've noticed I need to enable some mailboxes though.

3. 0 number of items i A5 queue

4. Yes, they are assigned to the right prov group

I manually archive them through Run now and choose the specific mailbox.

Yes, provisioning starts at 8 pm and sync starts at 9 pm and then archiving starts 1 am.

This is very strange since all task runs correctly but nothing archives.

Correction:

Sorry, they are not hidden in GAL :) But the AD-account is disabled.

When I run the archive manually I mean I choose one mailbox at a time. (Not all of them with Run now.)
