Can Macintosh Users See/Access Archived Enterprise Vault files?

I have archived some data from a File & Print server to Enterprise Vault.  One of the archived folders is a "Creative Services" folder, which is used by Mancintosh users.  Do you know if MAC users can see/access the placeholder files from the file & print server in this case?

The file is a stub and it will be server-side called back on access.
It should work even on a MAC.

Okay, thanks.  Just for clarification purposes, did you mean to say that the file is a shorcut or placeholder?
From what I understand, a stub file is a hidden file, which contains a unique archive id.

In my opinion, a placeholder is a stub...
But it would be interesting what Symantec techs would have to say about this.

The MAC client should be able to see it, but can't recall - it is unsupported at present, check the latest SCL.. for both Internet Shortcuts and Placeholders.

From my understanding MAC certification is happening and on-going, but there is no current ETA on when it will be finished.

This confuses me.
I was pretty sure you don't need a client for recalling Items.
And the MAC would do a standard CIFS/SMB call, which would recall the item?!
(The file&print server is Windows, isn't it??)

Or then at least it has to work with Internet Shortcuts, they are just standard links to a http document which ANY browser should be able to open.

You may got my attention here, and I probably will test it in our Lab :)

It's definitely in the SCL - take a look under FSA, unsupported clients.  Also when I say MAC client, I mean the OS itself..

John:
What is SCL? If it is a White Paper or other type of document, where do I find it?
Pardon my ignorance, but I am know to Enterprise Vault.
Thanks!
