With Exchange 2007 and managed folders I'm being asked if we can use Enterprise Vault to only archive specific folders.
For example, we would like to archive all email in folders that are not managed folders out of mailboxes. We don't want to leave a shortcut behind and want the archived email to expire out of the vault after 90 days.
We then want to archive email is specific managed folders that each may have different retention periods. So, we may have managed folders in Exchange called contracts, legal, hr, etc. that our users will drop email into. Each will have it's own retention period anywhere from 1 to 10 years.
Is this possible. Any documentation available?
