Hi

I am going to create a new parition due to our backup window and I would like to know the problems or the difference I may face or see by closing the current parition: any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello EBK

Closing a partition effectively stops additions to it.
If you allow users to delete items from the archive, you might see data getting less. If you run expiry then the same applies. There will be no effect on using EV-client at all.

Hi EBK,

Yes, this is a good idea. I would not worry to much on what GerjainA said, just make sure you do backup your closed partition now and then, But Enterprise Vault will not need to be in read only mode when you backing up this partition as its pretty much static except for expires.

Hope this helps.
