EV 5 to 7.5

Hi all,

I have a customer who is in a bit of a prediciment.

The customer had Enterprise vault version 5 with no maintainance and went ahead and upgraded their exchange server to Exchange 2007.

The customer now would like to upgrade enterprise vault to 7.5.

Any Ideas on the best way to tackle this.

First thoughts on upgrading were to restore all email back to the users mailboxes then uninstall ev version 5.0.

Build a new server install ev version 7.5 and then archive. We are not talking about two much data here just a couple of Gig.

I have researched this but could not find any articles involving 5.0 to 7.0 migrations.

Do I have to upgrade 5.0 to 6.0 then to 7.0

Any help on this matter would be creatley appreciated.

If it is just that amount of data it might be worth restoring and then installing a fresh install install of EV 2007 (EV 7.5).

Otherwise you will need to upgrade to EV 6, then EV 7, and then to EV 2007.

Look at the install media for EV 2007 for a document called UpgradeInstructions_EN.htm.

It will have the information you need.
