EV 9 and Outlook client 8.0.3

Hi all,

After upgrading to EV 9.x, what's the minimum Outlook client add-in for EV I'll need to be running in order for archiving/retrieval to work on the client side? I'm currently running 8.0.3.

I'm not too fussed about a supported version, just one that works.

Regards

Richard

EV9 server will work with the EV8 clients and the EV9 clients will work with an EV8 server

Traditionally its always been two steps
So EV8 client will work with EV2007 and EV7
(Except for Virtual Vault and Vault Cache)

and EV7 clients will work with EV2007 server and EV8 server
(Except for Offline Vault which goes in to a read only mode)

You will be more than fine, but would definitely plan to roll out the newer clients when you can as they are some bug fixes you will want revolving around vault cache and virtual vault and then obviously in a couple of days time the Outlook 2010 client will be released

Thanks JesusWept2.

Can you confirm (it wasn't 100% clear to me) if there are issues surrounding VV and VC when using the 8.0.3 client against an EV9 server?

Otherwise great info, many thanks.

No issues that I know of.
However EV8 SP3 client regardless of what version of Enterprise Vault 8 SP3+ or EV9+ does have its own issues that aren't related to the server

If you read this article it shows the list of whats changed in the client for EV8 SP4
http://www.ev-assist.com/uploads/news/files/Enterprise_Vault_8_0_SP4.htm

and also there is the cumulative hotfix for EV8 SP4 client as well
