EV folder rename..does the renamed folder still receive the retention settings?

In EV 6x, (or other versions), when a user renames a Retention Folder that has been pushed to the Outlook clients by EVPM - and has a retention category associated to it, does the renamed folder still get the retention category settings? 

(ie: if a new message is placed in a renamed folder, will it still continue to get archived using the retention category the folder had under its original name?

And if so, what happens when EVPM re-pushes the correctly named Retention folder back to the client?

You can lock down folders created by EVPM so that users will not get the ability to rename / delete.

Would this be more applicable?

You can natively lock down the delete, with an updated version of the EV client, but you cannot lock down rename.
