Hi all Is there a way to create a report on storage expiry? I know that the event logs display the results but I need to be able to pull reports on the data expiry. If anyone has some ideas on how to do it, it would be greatly appreciated. Rob

what kind of information are you looking for?
Its something thats been requested a lot, but its a real resource intensive process, especially if you get in to the millions of items range, the only two options you have are the events generated by the expiry reports, or running the expiry report from the users outlook client which will query the index and show what items are due to expire

Hi Jesus Basically we need to keep track on the storage expiry performance. We journal a heck of a lot of information so deletion of the data is critical. I need to be able to pull report to confirm that the data is being deleted for legal purposes. Problem is that sometimes the administrators clear the event logs which makes tracking the data impossible.

Your best bet maybe to forward events or set up some event alerts (SCOM or MOM or sitescope etc) or build a basic VBScript that gets those events that will show many were expired from what retentions etc that runs each morning

Other than that you will have to create a new Idea in the ideas section unfortunately
