For some time now, our CAS server (Exchange Version 14.1.218.15) has been reporting the errors below.
After doing some research, I have come accross the follwoing tech articles:
Has anyone come across this? If so, do you have any suggestions?

I forgot to mention the version of Enterprise Vault (EV) is 9.0.0 and the EV OWA Extensions is 9.0.1193.

Do you have EV functionality broken with EV, Are you able to archive/restore/retrive/search...etc successfully with OWA?
I would suggest to install latest (9.0 SP4/SP5) OWA extension on CAS & then see if you report any error 0 on CAS.
You can also take EV-OWA logging later on if error persist.

The issue is fixed with EV 9.0 SP3, So please Install EV 9.0 SP3 Extention on the CAS Server..
There was an Open Etrack on the same.. Just wanted to confirm are you facing any EV Functionality loss when we get this error on the CAS Server ?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Firstly, when opening OWA via IE, it displays the correct form/shortcut, and when I double click it, the item is retrieved. Howver, the right-click funtion to restore the item is not available.
Since the version of EV is 9.0.0, are we able to install the OWA Extension 9.0.3 without upgrading the server version?

Yes, you can install OWA extension 9.0 SP3/SP4 without upgrading the server binaries.
