FSA NetApps: deletion of archived files

Hi,

EV does not delete the archived files for NetApp filers if the path to the folder that contains the placeholder exceeds 256 characters. This path length limit is due to a NetApp Data ONTAP 7.3 FPolicy restriction.

Anyone having this problem? What can I do? How can I delete all this archived files that remains there after deleting its placeholders?

I read about this problem in one of the Administratos Guide (Setting up File System Archiving). So I'm afraid this must not be aesy to solve. At least I would like to know if there is a way to delete an archived file when its assiciated placeholders is removed.

Coming back to this. Anyone having problems deleting archived files when the original file is store in a NetApp?

Is there any way to delete the archived files that do not have an associated placeholder? Cand I see wich are they or where are they?
